SCAN 2002 Digital Art Show

Postponed to April 2003

You can submit your digital still work from now until Midnight on October 28th, 2002 you must send your file(s) via e-mail (The postmark deadline for video/animation/music submissions is October 15th).

No jury, no judges, no censorship you send, it goes on the web and we show it on LCD screens and plasma displays

The show will open on Friday 1st of November 2002 (more First Friday info.) and run until November 30th. All still images in the show will also be displayed on-line.

Then read the rules (you must follow the rules otherwise your entry will be disqualified) and send your files. Entry fee's will be used to promote SCAN 2003.

SCAN is a 5013c not for profit organization. There is no entry fee for international entries.

Rules...
(no exceptions, no kidding)

  1. Files MUST be less than 1 Mbyte, [files over 1Mbyte will not even be looked at]
  2. Only JPEG file formats will be accepted (if you don't know how to do this click here)
  3. Naming, files must be named with your first name and last name (no spaces) and a designator for the layout P = Portrait, L = Landscape and S = Square
    e.g. janedoeL.jpg or johnsmithS.jpg. If you are sending more than one image add the number of the image e.g. janedoeL1.jpg
  4. File names must end with a period and the initial JPG. - example janedoeL1.jpg
  5. Files MUST be in Single Bit, Greyscale or RGB [CMYK files will not be accepted]
  6. File Size must be no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels
  7. You may send 1 to 3 files.
  8. Entry Fee $5 per image maximum 3 images
    (do not send more than 3 images we will not even look at them!)
  9. There is no entry fee for international entries (we will check to make sure you are international)
  10. Files must be received by Noon on October 25th, 2002
  11. Payment must be sent by Noon on October 26th, 2001

Send the file(s) to contest@scanarts.com please send a separate e-mail for each file. Put File #? or ? from First Name Last Name in the message header. (E.g. File #1 of 1 from Jane Doe)

Payment: On receipt of your file we will e-mail you an invoice. You can pay the invoice with a check or credit card via PayPal.
